One More Sleep to the 8k

Our big race is almost upon us.... The course is getting a final check this evening, water station is arranged - at the 4k marker beside the Rugby Pitch, km markers are being put up.... Final Arrangements Registration at Forest Park Car Park from 11am tomorrow morning Cost €10 for over 18s and €5 for under 18s or students Race starts and finishes in Car Park This is a trail race, so be aware that you will not always be on a tarred surface Race will start at 12. Midday sharp See you all in the morning and best of luck to everyone.

The Portumna 8k Forest Race will be held on Sunday, 30th June at 12.00pm at Portumna Forest Park. This event is part of the Great Outdoors Festival Portumna. The race will be run over solid forest roads and tarmac, and will bring you through the beautiful forest park. You will also run beside Portumna Castle and Priory, as well as beside Lough Derg. Registration will be held in the Forest Park Car Park from 10.30am. The Car Park will be signed from all entrances to the town. The course will be marked at each km and the final km will be marked home so that you can time your burst to the finish line. Hate Hills??? This is a flat course!!!
